What’s one thing you’d like everyone to know about the Hub?

“The Hub at Weston, first and foremost, is a community-focused gathering place for great food and fellowship.  We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, cheerful and homey environment to enjoy delicious, wholesome food. We support the community in a myriad of  ways, from free community lunches, to hosting local events like Culture & Cuisine nights and sourcing ingredients from local farmers.”

What are you most proud of at the Hub?

“That we are most appreciated by local residents for being a year-round restaurant and dedicated community resource. This is evidenced in our partnerships with area nonprofits to deliver workshops, free lunches and events designed to counter isolation. For example, last December we featured a Dicken’s Christmas for our free community lunch which was attended by over 30 seniors, many house-bound. Not only did they have a wonderful lunch and a holiday celebration with carol singing but they were given special treats and made to feel appreciated as valued members of our community.”

What are you most excited about?

“We are always excited about meeting new people with the influx of fall and winter visitors. We look forward to introducing these new diners to our wonderful lunch and dinner menus which feature fall and winter favorites such as our traditional Cassoulet, Coq au Vin and hearty soups and sandwiches. Our menus always reflect seasonal foods with a creative spin by our Head Chef Michael Ehlenfeldt.”

What’s new or coming for the season ahead?

“In addition to the return of our favorite seasonal menu offerings, we plan to host special dinners through the fall and winter. Chef Michael’s outstanding wine dinners are renowned for his creative food and wine pairings. Our December Culture and Cuisine night will feature a Scandinavian Feast of St. Lucia traditional meal and festivities.  A partnership with local choir Nordic Harmony and local Swedish, Danish and Norwegian community members, we expect this to be a wonderful kick off to the holiday season. We will also host a free St Lucia meal for our free December community meal, again providing a special and celebratory dining experience for our seniors.”
